She is a yoga instructor and practitioner, avid SCUBA diver, free-flow dancer, tea drinker, and reader. Teaching and practicing yoga ignited Abby’s interest in the body and eventually led her to complete the 702-Hour massage program at the Massage Arts Center in Philadelphia. Her inspiration comes from the ability of bodywork to help create emotional, mental, and physical balance and ease. Abby finds particular joy in tailoring massage to the individual, and using therapeutic touch to encourage healing and relaxation in the way that best suits each person.Brion Trivers (Meditation, Reiki & Yoga Teacher)
Brion Trivers is Sivananda Hatha Yoga trained & certified at the 200 hour level. Accompanying his yoga training is a certification in Thai Yoga Massage & Pilates. Brion's movement background in various somatic techniques has moved, molded, and motivated him for the past 20 years. A friend's mother, a Kripalu Yoga practitioner & teacher introduced him to the practice soon after starting a personal practice of meditation that was encouraged by his doctor when he was 16, to help relieve stress related reflux. Stress management was one of the major factors for him being open to the practice of Yoga at an early age. It also fueled his interest in other spiritual practices (Reiki, Vipassana & various martial arts). These spiritual seeds, planted early, were fertilized & sprouted during two soul searching trips to India & Thailand, where Brion delved deeply in the study, practice & cultural lifestyle of the East. Brion has been highly inspired by Swami Sivananda, Swamiji Vishnu-Devananda, Shiva Rea, Simon Parks, Max Strom, Brian Kest, Amahji (The Hugging Saint), Goenka (Vipassana Meditation), Jason & Jenny (AcroYoga founders), Kam Thye Chow (Thai Yoga Massage Guru) & the countless glorious local teachers DC & the rest of the world has to offer. Brion combines yoga, gymnastics & Thai Yoga Massage to develop & strengthen young athletes as well as adults looking for a more therapeutic approach to mental, physical & in the end, spiritual wellness.

Yoda is the jeidi master--YES. He checks yogis through for class (unless he's sleeping, which happens a lot). Meet Abby Dobbs Forrest Yoga teacher and massage therapist!

Abby's yoga journey began when she discovered the immense passion that was brought forth exploring Forrest Yoga with her teacher and mentor Ana Forrest. After completing her first 200hr teacher training through Forrest Yoga, she was given the opportunity to go further in another 200hr training with Natasha Rizopoulos of YogaWorks. Through a dynamic and mindful combination of poses in Abby’s classes, you will have fun, get sweaty, and most importantly, breathe deeply. Abby is so grateful for the opportunity to share her passion and delight of yoga to her students, both the physical asana, and the deeper philosophical, emotional, and spiritual aspects.
