FAQs about Scheduling

Do I need to sign up for classes online?

If you are able to sign up for class online, please do so;  the online reservation will expedite your check-in process at the studio and give you priority in getting into class.  We also accept walk-in students who have not registered.  For all students, we suggest that you show up 10 to 15 minutes before class to ensure that you can get a spot in class.  Class space is subject to availability.

I tried signing up for an evening/weekend class, but it said it was full.  What can I do?

If you cannot sign up for class online, please show up 10 to 15 minutes before class for a walk-in reservation on the wait-list at the front desk.  Walk-in reservations are subject to class size and availabilty.

It seems that all of the classes are full when I check the schedule online.  Not only for one day, but it seems that many classes fill up for a week or two in advance.  What can I do?

Please remember that the schedule online does not always reflect the reality of the situation.  Sometimes students sign up for multiple classes in order to ensure they get a spot, then don't de-register from class after they have attended one class.  The class schedule is highly fluid, and spaces free up as the day progresses.

The following information is relevant for weekend and evening classes.  Ten minutes before a class begins, students on the wait-list are admitted in the order in which they signed up.  Students arriving less than 5 minutes before class begins may not be admitted due to space availability, regardless of whether they have an online registration.

Why should I even sign up online?

The online schedule reservation provides an avenue for students to sign up in advance for class.  Having an online reservation will ensure that you get a spot in class if you show up at least 10 minutes before class and space is available.

Please understand that sometimes, classes fill up very early in advance (mainly the evening classes).  We do our best to get every student into class, but class size is limited.

What happens if I schedule a class online and then end up missing the class?

It is your responsibility as the student to de-register from class to avoid being charged for the session.  You can do it yourself in your Mindbody scheduling account.  Look under My Info, and then click on My Schedule.  Cancel the sessions you do not want to attend.  If you do not de-register from a class at least one hour in advance of the session, you will be charged for the session.  Class sessions cannot be made up or refunded.

How early should I arrive before class?

Please arrive ten minutes before class. If you do not show up for your reserved spot, then it may be given to a standby student.  We reserve the right to give walk-in students a place in class five minutes before the class begins if students with online reservations have not shown up.

Can I take class if I am late?

We do not allow students to enter a morning or lunchtime class more than five minutes after the class has started.  At this time, late admittance to evening classes and weekend classes is not possible.  This is to maintain the integrity of and minimize disruptions to your class experience.

I have a friend in town who wants to take class with me.  Can I give her one of my sessions?

All classes are non-transferable and non-refundable.  You cannot give sessions from a class pack or a coupon pack to another individual.

I missed class because something at work came up.  Can I get that session back?

No.  Missed classes cannot be refunded.

Can I sign up for classes two to three months in advance?  I want to make sure that I get a spot in class.

If you decide to sign up for classes online, please schedule classes NO MORE THAN ONE WEEK in advance.  We have noticed that students are better able to manage their schedules this way than when they schedule classes weeks in advance, and it prevents the online schedule from looking fuller than the actual classes get.

Please be considerate of other yogis, and sign up only for classes that you will be able to attend.

Yoda is the jeidi master--YES. He checks yogis through for class (unless he's sleeping, which happens a lot). Yoda, on behalf of all of the animals, asks that you please not wear fur to the Buddha B Yoga Center. He says we are a cruelty-free zone. For more information about the brutality involved in killing animals for their skins go to: http://www.peta.org/

Abby's yoga journey began when she discovered the immense passion that was brought forth exploring Forrest Yoga with her teacher and mentor Ana Forrest.  After completing her first 200hr teacher training through Forrest Yoga, she was given the opportunity to go further in another 200hr training with Natasha Rizopoulos of YogaWorks.  Through a dynamic and mindful combination of poses in Abby’s classes, you will have fun, get sweaty, and most importantly, breathe deeply.  Abby is so grateful for the opportunity to share her passion and delight of yoga to her students, both the physical asana, and the deeper philosophical, emotional, and spiritual aspects.
